This IHPBA Early Career Group is delighted to announce the inaugural Early Career Group Research Retreat, a unique opportunity designed to facilitate research idea exchange, feedback, international collaborations, and career development for early career HPB surgeons. The Retreat will offer a supportive and enriching environment to strengthen participants’ engagement in the research continuum in HPB surgery, from designing and conducting studies, to participating in collaborative groups, and contributing to the editorial process. Research Retreat content will include:

 

RESEARCH PROJECT WORKSHOP SESSIONS

Selected presenters will have the chance to share research at any stage of development, receive feedback and input on research ideas or projects in development, and ask questions to leading researchers in HPB surgery about study design, trial enrollment, cohort creation, analysis plans, knowledge translation, opportunities for collaboration, and more!

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

The IHPBA Early Career Group (ECG) Leadership Council invites all early career surgeons (any member <45 years old) and individuals who are currently in training for the HPB speciality to submit proposals on research at any stage of project development for inclusion in the ECG Research Workshop. Submissions for research projects in the areas of clinical trials, epidemiology, health services research, or medical education are invited. To be eligible, projects must be led by an early career surgeon of the IHPBA.
