IHPBA Foundation

The IHPBA Foundation co-ordinates IHPBA's charitable work in three areas: Education, Research (including the Kenneth Warren Fellowship) and Outreach.  Further information on the IHPBA Foundation can be found here.

Outreach

In 2019, the IHPBA Foundation supported projects in Nepal, Philippines, Ethiopia and Vietnam.  These missions would not be possible without the generous support of our members.

More trips in 2020 are being planned and we thank you for your continued support.

Education

The IHPBA Foundation is supporting the ‘Medbook for IHPBA’ project, you can read more about this here

Research Projects

The Foundation is supporting the Research Committee on their initiative to develop three global registries, one for each field of HPB research. The registries the committee are focusing on are gall bladder cancer, non colorectal liver metastases and minimally invasive pancreatic resection.

IHPBA Kenneth Warren Fellowship

The Kenneth Warren Fellowship is awarded annually with the goal of promoting collaborative scientific discovery in HPB diseases through support of clinical or laboratory research for a young investigator in a laboratory outside the applicant’s own department and country.  You can read more about the fellowship here.

The IHPBA Foundation could not support the important projects detailed above without the generous support of IHPBA members.  We have ambitious plans in 2020 and your donations will make this possible.  Please donate when you renew your membership or you can donate online here.

We are extremely grateful to all our generous donors; please see our donor wall here.
